Alumni Services

Greetings from the Career Services and Alumni Relations Department!
Like many of you, I came to Cortiva Institute - Chicago from the corporate world after working for 10 years as a regional human resources manager and often got massages to reduce stress and manage chronic pain. At the same time I began my training in martial arts and meditation and decided it was time for a career change that offered a more meaningful, balanced lifestyle. I was ultimately led to Cortiva Institute - Chicago and after graduating in class 43, I worked for 5 years as the full time massage therapist at WholeHealth Chicago, a complimentary alternative medical center, and taught in the introductory and diploma programs at Cortiva Institute - Chicago.

As the director of this department my job is to connect Cortiva Institute graduates with the best job opportunities available throughout the greater Chicago area, although Cortiva Institute - cannot guarantee employment of its graduates

As a Cortiva Institute - Chicago alumna, I welcome your input and suggestions. Please stop by the school to say hello or contact me at sbarney@cortiva.com or 312-753-7932.

Sincerely,

Susan Barney, Director
Career Services and Alumni Relations
